Recap of SyncGene updates in 2020
At SyncGene, we are always looking to provide our clients and community with actionable updates at a pace that keeps up with the market. The past year was no exception.
We have put our best efforts into advancing state-of-the-art synchronization of Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks. The team has also targeted some essential pieces of work around scalability and alignment for the upcoming year.
Here is a quick recap of what SyncGene brought to customers in 2020.
DE/FR language support. We became more accessible to our international friends in 2020. SyncGene’s interface became available in German and French.
One-way synchronization direction. Since April, users can transfer Calendar, Contact, and Task data in one direction. This is useful for when you want to see business meetings on a personal phone while keeping the work calendar for business only.
Folder mapping. At the beginning of 2021, we gave our customers what they had asked for – a more organized synchronization. With the introduction of Folder Mapping, users were able to choose what and where to synchronize, instead of synchronizing folders with the same name (regardless of whether they want it or not).
July 20, 2020, marked another major milestone for SyncGene as we reached 100,000 registered users. Yes, more than 100k people right now are using our service and their feedback has been wonderful.
This spurred us to work even harder to make SyncGene better as it has become central for our customers.
A focus on SyncGene Enterprise
2020 was important for SyncGene Enterprise development as well. We have spent many hours working on ways to allow teams to organize their company in the way that best suits their needs.
Let us look at what 2020 has brought for SyncGene Enterprise users.
Adding an unlimited number of users. We made it easy for administrators to set up their Enterprise accounts. Admins now can add as many users as they like in a few clicks.
Salesforce. Efficiency is all about saving time and costs – that is why we have added Salesforce as a source. Enterprise users now need only one Salesforce Professional or Enterprise license to synchronize Salesforce Contacts between the chosen accounts (Google, Office 365, iCloud).
Contact Sharing. Enterprises can now create a single address book and share it with all employees. With the contact sharing feature, corporate Contacts are accessible on every company device.
In 2021, we will continue focusing on Enterprise features. Until then, you can learn more about SyncGene Enterprise Edition here. Or meet your future account manager by requesting a demo to discuss personalized Enterprise solutions.
Upcoming SyncGene updates for 2021
As we enter the second quarter of 2021, SyncGene has already been preparing some great improvements – be it by adding new features or by squashing bugs.
Looking ahead, we are planning some extra features to make your workday more productive. 2021 will be about further development based on user needs, as well as expanding our scope by adding new sources for synchronization.
Here is what you can look forward to.
Periodic backup (already done!) SyncGene will back up files from your Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks to your Google account every 30 days. In fact, this feature has already been implemented!
iOS in-app purchases. We will introduce a more convenient way to sign up for SyncGene and SyncGene Premium for Apple users. Purchases will be made straight from the iOS app store.
Advanced synchronization directions. SyncGene will present a more convenient way to synchronize between three and more sources. Advanced directions will help you control what to synchronize and what to leave out, keeping your devices more organized and coordinated.
Huawei support. We are planning to add Huawei Calendar and Contacts as sources to synchronize with existing Google, iCloud, and Office 365 accounts.
Help us make SyncGene better
These updates listed are our most important milestones, but we do not intend to stop with them. The SyncGene team is dedicated to helping customers by supplying the best practical solutions and improvements. The feedback we receive shapes our priorities for the next big versions.
